Maddison was born with a serious heart condition, hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, that doctors didn't discover until she was four years old, after she went into cardiac arrest. She had to have emergency open-heart surgery to receive a pacemaker to help her heart beat properly. After that, she needed more surgeries because of complications and an infection. Maddison spent months in the hospital, away from her family, before she was finally able to start healing and getting stronger.Now on the mend, Maddison is excited for her wish trip to Disney, where she dreams of meeting all of the princesses and spending a special day at the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique. This trip will be even more meaningful, as Maddison, her mom, and her sister will be on their wish trip during all of their birthdays. After everything this family has endured, this wish will provide joy, healing, and memories that will last a lifetime.
